Hello: Keynote 08 has made putting up a presentation to YouTube easy. This was the main reason I paid the big price for one of their laptops. I put together a talk for an APS meeting on Saturday at 8AM in Connecticut. There were only 7 people in the audience, 5 of whom were also giving talks. I happen to be a fringe physicists, someone without paper credentials who is trying to make a significant contribution to physics (a unified field theory). The slides were finalized Friday night, and I recorded a practice session. That I sent up to YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeGgmE2wB5I using the "share" menu. By 5am when I was getting to leave, 3 people had already viewed it. No one in the physical audience showed much interest. In two weeks, it has been viewed 110 times. I don't think having the talking person is a good use of the video, however traditional it may appear. If the slides and audio are super clear, not much else is needed. doug -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
