I've been thinking the same thing because of the low power requirements 
and ability to hand-charge it.  I hope someone creates something similar 
(preferably with a larger keyboard) with the intention of marketing it to 
adults... 

I'm planning on buying one because I want to look at a11y at some point, 
when I have time, although I might experiment with finding a USB keyboard 
to go with it (no idea how much that would increase the power 
requirements) and trying to use it on trips.
