Another (late) comment: I have heard BSD keeps better time. If one wants to be a serious time geek (which can be fun), I have heard Linux is worse. At least it has a bad reputation in the NTP community. I can't find it now, but I thought I saw things about BSD keeping time within many nanoseconds and Linux only being good within a few milliseconds. Then again, NTP is reporting right now that my basement Linux server is apparently within 2 milliseconds of correct. That seems OK for many purposes. -kb -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
