HP Pavilion dv6000 Laptop / Kubuntu

 A couple months ago I got an HP dv6700 laptop. It was a pretty good price 
<$800, dual core AMD Athlon, 2G RAM, 160G hard disk, wide screen, 
wireless, etc. 

Kubuntu worked great with a few exceptions: 

The wireless card does not have a native driver and needs NDIS Wrapper 
The headphone jack did not mute the speakers when a headphone was plugged in. 
The built in webcam does not work. 

Update: 
The headphone jack issue has been corrected in the latest alsa driver packet. 
Alas the webcam stubbornly still refuses to work.
