Just curious--why demand that the applicant be on the Boston side of 128? If you say up front it's an in-office job and you expect them to keep 9-5 Mon-Fri hours, what's it to you if they want to commute further then 128? We have people who drive to our inside-128-location from Worcester, Sturbridge, Gardner, etc, they all show up on time. Then we have folks who live within 5-10 miles of the office and are consistently late :^) On Sat, Nov 1, 2008 at 11:35 AM, <markw-FJ05HQ0HCKaWd6l5hS35sQ at public.gmane.org> wrote: > I posted an ad on Craigslist and explicitly stated that U.S. citizenship > was required and then applicants MUST be on the Boston side of the rt-128 > loop. > > I'm getting people from Pakistan, India, Russia, etc. answering the ad. > > The rates are insanely low. $12/hour!!! > > IMHO outsourcing is killing the software industry in the U.S. but how can > companies resist paying software developers McDonald's wages? > > _______________________________________________ > Discuss mailing list > Discuss-mNDKBlG2WHs at public.gmane.org > http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss >
