Senior LAMP Developer, Boston, MA | 85-125k 

This is a full time, on-site, salaried position located near Boston, MA
paying 80-125k + benefits.  No telecommuting allowed.  US Citizens,
Green Card holders or EAD only please.  Local candidates preferred. 

My client is a successful, fast-growing education finance and marketing
services company that fosters a friendly, team-oriented and
collaborative office environment. They strive to better educate the

students, educators and parents worldwide.

Responsibilities: 

* Build and support complex back-end applications in a LAMP development
environment: Data Warehousing, OLAP, CRM, reporting, custom admin
panels, web services and data exchanges 
* Transform high-level business requirements into functional code.
Educate top management on pros and cons of various implementation
options 
* Build and support complex customer-facing web applications in a LAMP
development environment with a small team 
* Involvement in full development lifecycle; design, coding, test,
build, QA, deployment and maintenance 
* Take ownership of the company's code base. Coordinate efforts among
developers to maintain and grow the internal code library in an orderly
fashion 

Technical Requirements: 

* 5+ years development experience with advanced Linux, Apache, PHP 5 and
MySQL 5 techniques 
* Strong SQL skills, including data modeling, architecture, and multiple
database synchronization 
* Object-oriented architecture, domain-driven design, design patterns,
code reuse 
* Personal records manipulation: data aggregation, cleansing,
transformation, merge and purge, appending 
* Object-Relational Mapping (e.g. Doctrine), Symfony or other MVC
frameworks 
* Experience with Web services, AJA, jQuery, Scriptaculous, Prototype 
* Firm grasp of web application security techniques 
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or
equivalent, Master's preferred

* Outstanding communications skills, written and verbal, comfortable
presenting to other coworkers and vendors/partners 
* Creative problem solving skills and a strong work ethic 
* Good analytical, troubleshooting and interpersonal skills 
* Good management skills of a small, tightly-knit development team 
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated 
* Enjoys teaching others and sharing knowledge 
* Solid project management skills
