If you want to purchase support, you get it from opensolaris.com Sometimes there are hardware compatibility issues. I have not yet seen a machine that can't run opensolaris, but I have seen machines that need a little massaging to get it installed... for example ... You might have to change your optical drive to ATA mode in order to install. And stuff like that.
