I guess that I will now need to get another used thinkpad. Is there any parts that are worth salvaging that will work on a Lenovo X61? I do not think the dock will work. How about the CD/DVD burner that is attached to the X31 docking station. Can I use this for the Lenovo X61docking station? I know that I can buy a $10 case from eBay to fit the hard drive and have a shirtpocket size external hard drive. If anyone needs some parts from this X31, send an email request to me and I will consider it. I still did not make up my mind what I am going to do with it. I have a difficult time parting with old notebooks for some reason. Jay
