What you should have: Strong fundamentals in Unix/Linux, Networking, security and programming (Perl or Ruby). Top notch hacking skills (including Ruby, bash). Sed, Awk, grep are your favorite toppings in an alphabet soup. 3+ years of experience in systems administration and tools/servers such as Puppet, Nagios, Apache. Excellent Oral and written communication skills and comfortable with working on remote servers and with remote teams. Knowledge of Amazon cloud services, Ruby on Rails, Java a big plus. Initiative to improve existing infrastructure. Eligibility to work legally in US.
