Not an option for the OP since GoodSync is for Windows and Macintosh
but not Linux.

For the encryption layer I skip the fancy UIs and go straight to
FUSE/Dokan + EncFS. It's portable and you can tune the various
encryption parameters or just take the ultra-paranoid defaults.
