I think you're overlooking one of the important factors: Before they made a decision, I was able to figure out (probably) why they put my account on hold, and I wrote an explanation of that situation, and also explained how it won't happen again. They wouldn't tell me (at first level support) why my account was on hold, and I don't know if level 2 was ever going to tell me. So if you can't figure out why your account is on hold, all by yourself, you might not have the advantage that I had.
