While speed isn't everything, this monthly updated speed comparison is
one way to identify the top providers that take DNS infrastructure
seriously:

Local provider Dyn is typically in the top 5.

SolveDNS also tracks up time, which you can look up by entering the name
of a specific name server:
http://www.solvedns.com/nameserver/

and it'll give you a detailed report on that server, such as:
http://www.solvedns.com/nameserver/ns4.dynamicnetworkservices.net

They also have end-user reviews of DNS providers:
http://www.solvedns.com/dns-reviews/

But only a handful of providers have reviews.
