I don't agree. I think pointing out the prevalence of sexist language
and behavior in the technology field is incredibly relevant. It makes
me sad that it's even a question -- I was rather hoping that we'd have
moved past this by 2014, but the fact that we haven't makes it more
important to discuss, not less.
