Last *I* tried to search my zip code I got garbage results. But your "Extreme DSL" is a good lead! I actually find it as "DSL Extreme", but they seem to have a good service at a nice price. Their web site seems to have a nice firewall control: port 25 is blocked by default, but I can unblock it for myself. (I am crazy, I run my own e-mail server.) The reviews I see suggest they don't have a lot of staff sitting around to fix things that go wrong, but that mostly they know what they are doing and things don't go wrong. Their service choices are interesting, but once I put in my phone number the options are fewer and I don't see any static IP choice. I sent them a web-form "e-mail" asking about that... -kb P.S. The extra charge for static IP on their web site is a lot and gets a lot worse with speed, makes me toy with the idea of getting two lines (if they are willing, and if Verizon has the copper pairs available on my street): one line that is fast but dynamic IP and one that is slow but static IP. That would be a chance to learn some networking...
