[Discuss] Installing StarOffice 5.2 on modern linux?

Some of the older slides from BLU meetings long ago were preserved i
StarOffice 5.2 format. and OpenOffice makes a mess of them when opening
them.

I figure to properly preserve the documents, the best way would be to first
open them in their original source environment, then work out how to
properly export them. At the very least, I would expect the old StarOffice
5.2 could export them to a clean, future-proof PDF format.

Has anyone tried installing StarOffice on a recent version of Linux?

I don't currently have any hardware running VM services, and I'd rather not
spend money on a new server just for this.
