Part of why I want to get off of Dovecot is I think their answer to 
having removed synching is to have redundant servers store their data on 
a shared NFS volume. But I might have that wrong; at that point I had 
quit watching the details go by in the mailing list, because I knew I 
wanted out.

-kb, the Kent whose two geographically separated servers would be 
particularly ill-suited to such an approach.
