If you have physical servers with high-end NICs which take 10s of seconds to negotiate with the switch, systemd will blithely start network services like NFS. These will fail and never retry, requiring hacks like this in crontab (if I remember the syntax off-hand). @reboot sleep 120 && mount -a So no, systemd does not really solve dependency problems. It tries to mask them and sometimes still fails spectacularly in the process. -- \m/ (--) \m/
