Solaris X sessions dying

There ought to be a log file somewhere that would help.  The standard X log
file is .xsession-errors in the user's home directory - I don't know if it's 
the
same for CDE.  Also check the system log file.

It almost sounds like you've run out of swap space.  If so, there should be a 
message in one of the log files.
