I think I'd have to disagree with this.

Do you understand all the concepts of nuclear physics?  Quantum 
mechanics? (etc)

( If you do, congrats *smile* )

My point being, this knowledge is unneccessary.  All that IS necessary
is knowledge of the data that's involved.  Now, admittedly, this is 
still not a minor dataset but not *quite* as large.  8)
