cups admin problem with Ubuntu

For my network printer, I just have http://192.168.2.100. I set
printer type to network printer and cups printer (ipp).

I just have a regular console window, and I say "sudo -i" and give it
the password and then it's just like having a root window on any other
system. Ubuntu was driving me crazy until I found the -i option to
sudo.
