[BLU/Officers] political correctness flame war on Discuss makes BLU and Linux look bad

I just posted a request to move the discussion off the BLU list.

What are your thoughts on how we should handle it if members ignore the
request and continue polluting the list with this off-topic material?

I'm not sure what we can actually do, short of unsubscribing and banning
the repeat offenders, and that's a heavy-handed precedent I'd rather not
set.

But as Bill pointed out, we've already had at least one rage-quit due to
this flame war, and if we do nothing, we could lose even more members.
