Thanks, ffmpeg was already installed and it worked. # Nikon Camera Movie Conversion with ffmpeg ffmpeg -i DSCN1156.MOV -target pal-vcd emily4.mpg # This command works. May not be the best quality I do not know what the 'pal' prefix signifies, I just tried various options until the error messages ceased. Do others have a similar camera that they convert movies from? Mine is a Nikon 4600. I am using the default movie recording settings which are pretty low quality.
