Fun with clamscan

I've just started playing with clamscan on Ubuntu. I ran sudo clamscan -r
-l scan.txt / and it took about 4 hours to check files. I reviewed the
log file and learned it hadn't scanned most of my home directory. So, I
ran clamscan -r -l scan-home.txt from my home directory and let it go.
It still continued to miss many directories (not nearly close to the max
recursion of 10000 per the man page).

clamscan -V
ClamAV 0.94.2/8720/Wed Dec 3 22:09:56 2008

What am I missing? How do I get clamscan to review ALL directories and
files.

Thanks.

Scott
