Hmmm.  Can't remember where I got this from, but I've always used
 outgoing.verizon.net port 587
for my outgoing relay (I use sendmail, so I define SMART_HOST as the
o.vz.net, then use [ESMTP|RELAY]_MAILER_ARGS to set the port).
