[Discuss] systemd Alternatives



Patching sshd is unfortunately way more common than you'd expect. The
Debian openssh-server package applies 29 patches to sshd, of which
only one is systemd-related.

That said, not every distribution that uses systemd does this. For
example, even though Arch uses systemd, it doesn't apply the
systemd-socket-activation patch that Debian does.
