Summary

A review of 40 years of vintage computers

Abstract

Restoring old computers has picked up a lot of new fans in the last couple of years. I have spent my time learning about systems that I never used, as well as restoring those I did. Join us for a tour of 40-year-old computing spanning 16-bit Atari, 68k Mac, 386SX PCs and Commodore 64. Guest star: a 35-year old Be Box.

Bio

Federico Lucifredi is The Ceph Storage Product Management Director at Red Hat, formerly the Ubuntu Server PM at Canonical, and the Linux “Systems Management Czar” at SUSE.
