Linux Terminal type problem Problem

Did you get an answer to this yet?

Sounds like you brought up a 1.3.x kernel on your machine. The
default console type has changed.

I'm using an old termcap from 3 August 92 so YMMV.

I changed the line:

# standard Linux virtual consoles
l0|con-unk|basic console:\

to:

# standard Linux virtual consoles
l0|linux|con-unk|basic console:\

It's been working for me.
