how-to SaMBa?

For one thing, you need to run nmbd, which provides a name service
for smbd. This would be my first guess. You also need to run these
either from inetd or as daemons. For the latter, use the -D switch.

I use samba to connect to NT workstations from Linux, HPUX, SunOS
and Solaris... in all cases it works well.
