XDM login

Hello

I have multiple user accounts on my machine. All "users" accounts are set, to be renewed by the root, every
2 or 3 months.

I invoke XDM at the end of startup scripts. I could login as any user and everything was fine.

For some reason, now I cannot login to any "users" accounts via XDM. I can login as root only.
>From other machines, I can telnet and ftp to the "users", which suggests that the "users" accounts are fine.
But, why are my "users" accounts gettting locked via XDM?

The authentication, is successful, but the screen remains between, end of XDM signon screen and start of
window manager screen.

Any ideas, how to fix this problem is appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
