Sound question wrt Netscape and plugger

I enabled sound on my system this weekend, and mist everything worked.
However, I am unable to get sounds (eg. .au or .wav) to work on Netscape.
The Shockwave sounds work fine. I did not check out my Mime types.
I am using Netscape 4.7 with plugger 3.2. The plugger shared library is
installed in the global Netscape plugins directory.
