why not root?

Hello again...

as most of you have guessed Im a relitive newbi.... I run a rh6.1 box for
e-mail, web, and a q3 server.... The box does not have much trafic...mainly
services for 10 or so executives!

I'm usualy looged on localy as root...and my kde desktop is under root.... I
keep hearing that this is not good...why? I find it much easyer to be
root..then su all teh time to get acces to files and dirs!

Shold I migrate to another user on my box?

any thoughts on this would be grate

katz
