Not exactly right, but not too far off the mark. There is no ASP language,
you code in VBScript, JScript, or PerlScript.

As you mentioned, there are open and closed source solutions (like
Chilisoft) that will let you take your work and run it on another platform
with little or no changes.

If you're at all concerned about future portabilty, use perl. If you must
use ASP, use PerlScript.
