> any ideal for tape drive? my idea is that they're pretty expensive to buy, expensive to feed, and painfully slow... i don't know if it will work for you, but the price and performance of ide disks is hard to beat. removable ide drive carriers are kinda clunky. i bought one of these instead: http://www.wiebetech.com/specsheets/pdf_dup_sdd.html now i can do my backups to my imac running os x. /chris
