My desktop spontaneously powered down?

Make sure you check for a fuse hidden within the power supply. That happened
to me once. The power supply was fine - it had just blown its internal fuse.
Then, like an idiot, I tried to use a slightly different fuse because Radio
Shack didn't have an exact replacement. Then I had to buy a new power
supply.
