What's the state of Palm<->Linux these days?

We may have different concepts of what "difficult" means. I
started using Palms with a Pro, later upgraded with the TRG 3MB
expansion, then a IIIx, later a Visor Pro. All of these I synced
to Linux boxes. The only difficulty was when USB support was new
in Linux and I had the Visor, which took a bit of fiddling with
before I figured out how to sync consistently.

You can do a backup very easily. You can even sync to an
application like JPilot or Evolution. You can probably do both
of these over the net - haven't checked into that lately.
