I had this idea once of placing a torrent caching system at the edge 
of every network.  It would be very interesting to see if technologies 
like that could save people from the DIGG or /. effect.  Of course, it 
wouldn't necessarily be useful unless the end-points were vastly 
making use of such a protocol and many other issues were working out 
first...
