changing window placement behavior

guy,

I've done my 15 minutes of googling around and I can't find anything
obvious to help solve my problem. When a window opens up, it does so on
the upper left corner of my dual monitor system. I have a track ball
mouse which means I have to spin the track ball all the way over to the
left to grab it, to pull it back over to the right monitor, which is my
main monitor. I would like to have the window pop open attached to my
mouse so that I can then place it where ever I like. Is there a way to
configure this in Gnome?

Thanks. Steve.
