If so, the forwarding from Hotmail to Gmail wouldn't be evident in your
mail log. (Assuming this is outbound mail you sent to the Hotmail address.)

The "4F56A9EB.8040401 at gmail.com" is a message ID, rather than an
address. For example:

Jan 23 03:22:56 lex postfix/smtp[6193]: 2F54585807F: to=<...>,
relay=spam4.ihostexchange.net[66.46.182.94]:25, delay=4.5,
delays=3.6/0.01/0.56/0.37, dsn=2.6.0, status=sent (250 2.6.0
<4F1D18D5.1050501 at vl.com> Queued mail for delivery)

The bigger question is why your mail client handed your Postfix SMTP
relay a message with a Gmail message ID. That's assuming this is an
outbound message that you sent. If this was an inbound message, then
that's a different story.
