Any Consultants Familiar with LDAP/pam/NIS etc?

Greetings,

I just found the blu.org site on the web. And just joined this
discussion list.

I own a graphic arts company in Cambridge, MA. I am in the process of
converting our network from an NT based one to a Linux one.

Here is what I'm doing:
o Moved ftp services from NT to Linux
o Moving DNS & DHCP from NT to Linux
o Moving E-mail (Netscape Directory Server & Message Server 4.15 on
Linux from NT 3.5)
o Will move our primary Web services from IIS to Apache (awaiting Cold
Fusion Update)
o Moving Mac file services from NT to Linux/Netatalk
o Moving PC File/Print services from NT to Linux/Samba

All of the above are moving along very well. But I'm left with one
critical issue that I just can't seem to get my hands around:

Basically it's User Authentication. NT->Synchronized with Linux
Accounts. LDAP. pam. pam_ldap, pam_smb, nss_ldap, YP, NIS. I'm dizzy
with all of the reading I've done.

If any of the subscribers on this list have set up a network/org to map
linux user accounts back to an ldap service, or if you know anybody that
has. I'd like to pay you for a day or two of your time.

Thanks,
