Hi ftp gurus, I need to configure, wu-ftp with the usage of ftpadmin group for downloading the files uploaded by normal users. I have a user tibexadm, who has been added to the ftpadmin group, who needs access to the /export/ftp/incoming directory, which is where, all the files get uploaded. I want to give him read only rights, so that, he can just make copies of the uploaded files in the "incoming" directory, without giving him any other rights. I mean, anonymous ftp writes should be possible into /export/ftp/incoming by any user, but only tibexadm should be able to see the files there and make copies. I think it all boils down to what setuid/setgid and sticky bit, i need to set to the directory /export/ftp/incoming, so that this is possible. what is it ?? Also, in the /etc/ftpd/ftpaccess file, the following upload clause is put in. upload /export/ftp /incoming yes ftpadmin ftpadmin 0440 nodirs also do tell me, which is the best method to restart the inetd service... Thanx in advance, and the matter is urgent, so pour in your comments ASAP Cheers.......Viony. VionY NASDAQ - EUROPE London - EC2A 2DU --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!?
