VoIP quality

Interesting, because local calls via Skype are the worst I've 
experienced from the landline end.

I agree, it is all likely changing rapidly.  I would not choose to use 
it -- for that reason.  I'd prefer phone service to be pretty stable.  
But not everyone has that as a priority.
