Oh. I don't have any Fedora 8 boxes around, but command was in the main totem rpm, so I guess that approach won't work. Try this instead (also, you should have installed the livna-release-8.rpm ): yum install mplayerplug-in gstreamer-plugins-ugly I don't know why there doesn't seem to be a mplayerplug-in package for F9, but it seems for F9 the CW is to use the totem thing.
