Sorry for so many posts in a row, but I just want to add one more tangental recommendation. What's taking up all the space in ~? JDiskReport will tell you. It's a free GUI tool that scans a whole filesystem branch and then gives you pie charts of selected branches, from the in-memory cache, as you browse, showing what is taking up the most space. See the screenshots to see what I mean. I use it all the time. And I love that on friends' computers (if they have a JRE configured right) I can launch it with Java Web Start with no permanent installation. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Organizing-my-files-%28EASILY%21%21%29-tp24668433s24859p24691579.html Sent from the Boston Linux/UNIX General Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
