I second that.

 From what I can tell the best VoIP application is Sipdroid, though I 
have also only made some test calls, and I don't have an incoming 
SIP-based number, so I haven't tried that. But the app seems to know how 
to register and sit there ready to communicate. I don't know what it 
does for battery life.

I have it for that day when I only have horrible roaming fees or wifi to 
choose from, and if the call isn't perfect that day I'll still be pleased.

I have my doubts as to whether it will work for day-to-day calling. 
Maybe your phone does data better than does mine (the Nexus One isn't 
perfect).
