I broke my boom microphone on my headset following the Installfest and I don't think I can get a replacement, so I will be buying a new headset. This time I want a headset with a microphone that will work with Google Chat on Fedora 14. This headset, a SB Arena did work to where I could use sound preferences, but I was never able to get Google Chat to use the mic. I think this time, instead of a USB mic, I will get a headset/mic with standard cables since some of the things I have seen state that Google Chat tends to use the other mic channel. Possibly a Logitech Gaming Headset that has the standard speaker and mic plugs with an additional USB adapter or possibly a Plantronics with similar specs. Again, the importance to me is to be able to use this for online meetings as well as to make calls via Google. --=20 Jerry Feldman <gaf-mNDKBlG2WHs at public.gmane.org> Boston Linux and Unix PGP key id: 537C5846 PGP Key fingerprint: 3D1B 8377 A3C0 A5F2 ECBB CA3B 4607 4319 537C 5846
