Samba and inherited permissions?

I have a samba server (CentOS) acting as a domain controller and several
Win XP workstations connected to the domain.

When a user creates a file or folder in a shared folder on the central
file server, that object is read-only to everyone else. I am not using
ldap - but may do so at some point in the future.

Does samba have the ability to place people into a group, such that all
objects created in the shared space are openly available
(read/write/execute) to all users? At present, I need to log in and change
permissions via sudo.

Thus far, I've google searching has only yielded a domain admin group, but
I don't want to give users admin rights - only shared access.

Thanks.
