I've been meaning to ask about this, since I've got RCN (and we just got
a new box, which I think might have a firewire connection).  It sounds
like you're saying the MythTV box simply acts as external storage, since
the cable box is what has (and controls) the tuner.  Apart from
controlling the storage aspect, what advantage does the Myth box give?
